Dr. Alan Rosenfeld is a graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. After concluding a year of general practice residency at Michael Reese Hospital (Chicago), he completed his specialty training in periodontics at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. He served as Director of Graduate Periodontology at Northwestern University Dental School and currently is a Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry.

Dr. George Mandelaris is a graduate of the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He then completed a 3 year post-graduate residency program at the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry, where he obtained a certificate in periodontics and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in oral biology.

In fact, it is their practice that pioneered the use of CT scans as a diagnostic tool for implant therapy nearly 20 years ago. They not only lecture on the subject as consultants for Materialise Dental but have co-authored articles and textbooks about the use of CT scans for diagnostic purposes, surgical treatment planning and execution, as well as for determination of prosthetic outcomes. CT scans are detailed three-dimensional digital x-rays stored on a computer for implant treatment planning. It is this technology that is allowing patients to occasionally receive "immediate teeth" and offers the additional safety of more accurate placement of implants to create outstanding results.
