Dr. Farshid Sanavi received dental degrees from the National University of Iran (1976) and the University of Pennsylvania (1987), where he completed his specialty in Periodontology (1985), and received his PhD in Immune-Pathology (1995). He writes, conducts research and lectures frequently on periodontal diseases, and has received many distinguished awards. He currently is a clinical professor in the Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Kornberg School of Dentistry, Temple University and maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
