Dr. Mark Thomas received his DMD from the University of Kentucky in 1979. He completed a general practice residency in 1980 before completing the graduate program in periodontology at the University of Kentucky. He is a diplomate and board examiner of the American Board of Periodontology. He is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Health Practice and Chief of the Division of Periodontology at the University of Kentucky. He is an Evidence Reviewer for the American Dental Association Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.
