Letter From Dear Doctor
Issue 29 of Dear Doctor Magazine
The Profession’s Professionals
We at Dear Doctor have been fortunate to have several professional organizations endorse or otherwise acknowledge our editorial content as cutting edge, factual, evidence-based and up to the minute. We are grateful to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) — and their member authors — for helping us to bring you accurate information on which you can rely to make informed healthcare decisions.
In this issue, two of those professional organizations, the AAE and ICOI, have combined efforts for the first time: They have collaborated with Dear Doctor to produce a state-of-the-art article on the dental patient’s personal decision-making process regarding whether to save a tooth in trouble, or replace it with a dental implant. Be sure to check out our comprehensive feature article: “Save a Tooth or Get an Implant?”
We also explore: the vast and changing landscape of antibiotics and their impact across the globe; the pros and cons of medical and dental tourism, as people seek and choose care further afield; and, how health professionals work together using IV sedation to keep you comfortable when undergoing dental and other treatment.
As you can see, whether related to clinical issues and procedures or public health concerns, it is important to know and understand that generalists, specialists and researchers in the healing professions frequently work together in the service of us all, to keep us healthy and happy.
We want to take just a moment to thank and salute all of our authors, “the Profession’s Professionals,” who singly and together write for and with us, to produce Dear Doctor’s world-class content; information that you can rely on to make confident and positive healthcare decisions.
Sincerely,Mario A.Vilardi, DMD President/Publisher |
